Schott NYC (Schott Bros) is an American clothing manufacturing company based in New York City. In the mid-1970s, Schott NYC became associated with the punk movement. In the 1980s, the film Top Gun brought the pilot model to prominence and became a must-have for the generational movement. The Schott Perfecto was the official uniform of rock stars such as the Ramones, Blondie, Joan Jett and the Sex Pistols. As the world expanded and international trade became commonplace through global online and commercial marketplaces, Schott expanded overseas where the Made in America label was highly coveted. Pea coats, duffle coats, flight jackets, motorcycle jackets, nylon tracksuits, knitwear and sportswear have become available globally over the years. In 2013, the company celebrated its 100th anniversary, cementing the work of the third and fourth generations of the Schott family, carried on by the current management.
