From 1959, with just a few employees toiling in the basement of a factory in Knoxville, Tennessee, to today, a brand known around the world for its iconic products, Alpha Industries has solidly built its identity in the world of apparel.
It was born as a brand of military jackets for the American army during the Vietnam War and it was during those early years that it produced the jacket model that would guarantee its success for over half a century, the MA-1 bomber, nicknamed the “bomber”.
The surplus of clothing left over at the end of the war allowed Alpha Industries to be appreciated also among civilians, thanks to the sale of those garments in American stores. It was in 1992 that the logo that we still find on Alpha Industries garments was baptized, the “flaying A”, a clear reference to the military heritage of the brand and the famous three-bar labels. From that moment on, the commercial expansion of the brand grew at a regular pace, also arriving at important collaborations, such as the one with Uniform Experiment, with a streetwear imprint, and the one with Ben Sherman.
