The New Balance lifestyle sneaker brand, with the famous “N” logo as we know it today, is the result of a significant design and stylistic evolution. In 1906, in fact, when William Riley founded “The New Balance Arch Support Company” in Boston, it produced arch supports and accessories that could improve the fit of shoes. Starting in the 1950s, when the practicality of the products pushed athletes to request custom-made shoes, the company began to change direction, until the turning point in 1961, when the Trackster was launched on the market, the first sports shoe with grooves in the sole to improve grip. It was in the 70s that the “N” logo made its appearance after the release of the New Balance 320. The models that have enjoyed uninterrupted success for more than thirty years are the New Balance 990 and the New Balance 991, both born as top models in the running market and soon became everyday models.
